A rundown on the agenda for the evening and a word from our sponsor.

18:15 - Belinda Hodkinson (Spiire’s Digital Services) : Industry 5.0 and the Digital Twin Economy

Synopsis
As we enter into industry 5.0 we understand the power of the construction industry and how we contribute to societal goals. Part of that power is how the distributed digital twin economy enables an understanding of the impacts we are making from hard infrastructure, to soft, and into the invisible infrastructure. Want to learn where you and your business might play in this economy? Join us on an interactive journey as Belinda helps us piece it all together.

Speaker Bio
Belinda is the Principal for Spiire’s Digital Services. She has over 20 years’ consulting experience with international and national consulting firms across the built environment. 18:35 - Shane Hodgkins (Matrak) : Supercharging BIM through a connected supply chain

Synopsis
The promise of BIM is undeniable - however too often it remains separated from the decisions made on the ground. This results in enormous labour costs at the end of a project, trying to collate disparate data from subcontractors who've moved onto other projects. It also means critical data and insights are not available for building operations, robbing the buildings' clients of opportunities for true preventative maintenance.
In this talk, Shane discusses the challenges, solutions and case studies of pulling materials passport data into BIM - and how this can make the promise of BIM a reality.

Speaker Bio
Shane Hodgkins is the CEO and Co-Founder of Matrak, the global materials tracking network that’s transforming construction.
Shane brings over 18 years of experience, building teams in the software development space for companies such as PEXA, Bupa, Coles-Myer, and Australian Bureau of Statistics. He developed a deep understanding of the radical impact data insights can make by providing value-driven solutions.
Shane joined forces with his brother Brett to build the leading materials tracking solution, Matrak, originally developed on VCC for their father’s facade installation business.
Matrak has since grown to a global network of connected supply chains. The platform tracks materials through manufacture, logistics, install and quality control. With over 1M materials tracked across 265 projects, Matrak brings a new era of supply-chain transparency.

18:55 - Adam Sheather (BIM Beats) : Process Mining for AEC Firms

Synopsis
Process mining applies data science to discover, validate and improve workflows. By combining data mining and process analytics, organizations can mine data from their information systems to understand the performance of their processes, revealing bottlenecks and other areas of improvement. Process mining leverages a data-driven approach to process optimization, allowing managers to remain objective in their decision-making around resource allocation for existing processes.
This talk will cover how process mining applies to AEC designers and engineers, how we can benefit and why Bimbeats was developed as a solution to help AEC firms undertake process mining on their business. The value of setting benchmarks for digital transformation, measuring change and some simple Revit best practices that can save you dollars that nobody does.

Speaker Bio
Adam Sheather has worked on various aspects of the AEC & Built Environment, with developers, designers, and contractors with drafting, Revit implementation and BIM management. This experience is across delivery for projects of all sizes across all phases of development in Australia, USA, Asia and the Middle East.
For the last 7 years Adam is MD of Autonomation which is heavily focused on computational design and software development, building tools for businesses including Autodesk, Coles, BHP, GHD, WSP, Aurecon and AECOM among others. Adam also is the founder and initial developer of Bimbeats a commercial real-time data analytics software.
